The Challenge
A multinational enterprise operating in 18 countries with 15,000 remote employees discovered that their traditional perimeter-based security model was fundamentally inadequate. Following a near-miss ransomware incident, the board mandated a complete security architecture overhaul. Their flat network allowed lateral movement, and VPN-based remote access created bottlenecks and security risks.
Our Approach
Gorgias designed a comprehensive Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) based on NIST SP 800-207 guidelines. We began with identity as the new perimeter, implementing strong authentication before moving to network micro-segmentation and data protection controls.
The Solution
Deployed Microsoft Azure AD with Conditional Access, Intune MDM/MAM for device management, and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint. Replaced legacy VPN with Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) for zero-trust network access. Implemented Varonis for data classification and access governance.
The Results
"Implementing Zero Trust transformed our security posture fundamentally. Our board and auditors are impressed with the results." — Christine Lee, CISO, Global Industries Ltd
